Gli articoli del numero di Novembre 2018 includono:

  • Malware: Cat and Mouse Forever?  by Ken Dunham - ISSA Distinguished Fellow, Boise Chapter. As we focus on the impact of malware upon cybersecurity, it's important that we embrace the lessons learned over the past three plus decades of malware in the wild. The author looks at notable malware events that have taken place over the last few decades: have we learned anything or will be playing cat and mouse with our malware adversaries forever?
  • Pulling Back the Privacy Curtain, by Reg Harnish - ISSA member, Rochester Chapter. Privacy as we know it is eroding at a fast rate, causing many to sound the alarm. This article discusses this reality and the potential benefits of living in a society with less privacy.
  • Holistic Approach to Enhance Your Security Posture, by Yuri Diogenes - Senior Member, Fort Worth Chapter. With the current threat landscape, it is necessary to have a holistic approach to enhance overall security posture. If organizations are investing in security by only protecting servers and allowing their users to be administrators of their local workstations, they are ignoring one of the most common attack vectors: privileged access from the user's workstation.
  • A Look at the Espionage Act of 1917 for the Internet Age, by Whitney Partridge and Nima Zahadat - ISSA member, Northern Virginia Chapter. The Espionage Act of 1917 has recently come into focus due to coverage of some high-profile cases. It revives the privacy concerns and arguments that have lasted since its inception. This article explores the impact of the Espionage Act, stressing why it should be reformed or even removed entirely.
